Information

Audition will be by an online video submission of a variation from the classical repertoire. Confirmation of acceptance in the program will be by email.
The video must be sent by e-mail with a link to help visualise the video easily.
Deadline for submission of audition video for the program is July 1st, 2020. 
Age for selection to the program: minimum 16, maximum 20, both boys and girls.
- Number of participants limited to 12 students.
Registration is confirmed after selection by video and payment of the deposit of 50% of the program fee. This deposit is not refundable. Access to the studios is allowed only after full payment, which must arrive at the latest one week before the beginning of the program.
The selected students will be housed at Chateau Mathias with the organizers and all the teachers.

Transport by minibus is provided between the studios and the accommodation as well as to and from Bordeaux-Merignac airport or Marmande SNCF train station upon arrival on the 26th of July and departure of the selected participants on August 1st.

PROGRAM

The program consists of 5 hours of dance each day. A two hour ballet class with Thomas Gallus, one and a half hours of repertoire with Myriam Ould Braham, and one and a half hours of repertoire from the world famous choreographer of the Royal Ballet, Sir Kenneth MacMillan with Robert Tewsley.
All classes are accompanied with a live pianist.
Students will participate in an open performance (free of charge) on the last day of the program, with prize-giving after deliberation by the jury.

Round tables will be organised with the teachers to discuss participants’ artistic and professional development (work methodology, personal advice, support for auditions with professional companies and major ballet schools, orientation recommendations based on the artistic potential of each student).

After deliberation by the jury we will award a prize to each of two participants as a reward for their work !

– Participation as a performer at the Gala des Étoiles des Hivernales de la Danse in Liège
(Belgium). Travel (from within Europe) and transport to the hotel with the invited Stars, accommodation at the hotel and breakfast included. Other meals are the responsibility of the student. The prize winner is required to dance in two performances, without remuneration. The program will be determined by the course director after consultation and in agreement with the director and organiser of les Hivernales de la Danse.

– The experience of working within an internationally renowned professional company (for 2020, The Czech National Ballet in Prague), dates and duration to be determined by the program director in agreement with the artistic director of the Czech National Ballet.
Travel (from within Europe) and accommodation paid for by the program and the inviting company. Please note that food is the responsibility of the participants.

– The jury reserves the right not to award prizes.

Price (Package)

The price of the package for the Exclusive International Ballet Program is € 1,300.

Package includes:
– 5 hours of dance instruction per day for five days accompanied by a live pianist.
– Food (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) with drinks.
– Transport (On arrival at the SNCF train station in Marmande or Bordeaux-Merignac airport and return, as well as between accommodation and studios)
– Shared accommodation at Château Mathias (6 nights, arrival July 26 , departure August 1).
